Although thousands of women every single day make use of anti wrinkle creams and serums that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the surface of the skin there are many women that make small mistakes that can cause wrinkles, or even reduce the effectiveness of the wrinkles that are present in the skin.
What are the proper techniques that are used while applying wrinkle cream to the surface layer of the skin? When applying wrinkle cream to the skin it is important to use a light touch, but also use a cream that is specific for a type of area where the wrinkles are present. For example, most wrinkle creams are meant to be applied to the outer corners of the eye, and others are meant to be applied to the under eye area or the upper area to prevent sagging of the skin or to prevent dark circles from forming under the eye area. Learning where the cream should be applied and applying the skin care products to these areas of the skin is an important way to ensure that your skin care regime is truly going to have the best effects on the skin.
Using a light touch for the eye skin is important, as using a harder touch can stretch the delicate skin around the eye and cause bruising. This is especially true for skin that suffers from dryness or skin that is prone to moisture loss – especially for those with fair skin through the winter season. A light touch should be applied to the skin with the ring finger, lightly dotting the lotion or serum into the skin. Avoid rubbing the lotion into the skin while using lotion or even serum as this can cause bruising and rather lightly applying or dabbing the skin will enable the skin to absorb the serum or the cream enough to have a positive effect on the skin.
It is important to read the directions for applying the cream to the face, whether the cream is meant to be applied in the morning or the evening. There are two types of creams that are applied to the face, either day creams or night creams. These creams should be applied when recommended, whether applying the creams through in the morning in the case of day creams, or at night with the use of night creams.
How should you apply the cream to face? It is important to remember that the ingredients in the cream should benefit the skin and therefore be applied to skin that is clean and has no other products on the skin that can block the absorption of the positive ingredients. Applying the skin over make-up and other cosmetics or even in combination with other skin care products should be avoided and the skin care products to target wrinkles should only be applied to freshly-washed and clean skin. Applying the products to clean skin can ensure that more of the beneficial products are able to reduce the signs of aging – including wrinkles and fine lines.
